China has its culture and civilization deeply rooted in itself and has managed to influence its neighboring countries greatly. Many countries have had the impact of the Chinese civilization in their process of development. Life in China can be an overwhelming experience as it is one of the biggest, most populated countries with diversity on such a large scale. China has progressed in the quality of life over the years which enables the citizens to enjoy a higher standard of living. As we all are well aware of the importance of education in the prosperity of a nation, China also provides improved educational facilities which is the reason of its constant progress. The years of continuous economic struggle have resulted in a significant improvement in the life of both women and children. The status of women has been bettered and children as well as more aged Chinese citizens have been given the opportunity to enjoy care and protection. Therefore, in terms of lifestyle, the Chinese society has become relatively more self-sustaining and accommodating in the current age.
According to the culture and tradition that we experienced was, family is primarily considered to be the microcosm of the Chinese society. Family has always been the source of support, livelihood and security in the past Chinese culture. Therefore, it would be correct to call the Chinese society more family-oriented as most of the Asian cultures are. It lays emphasis on the importance of family to the extent that extended families still remain to exist. These extended families usually contain the grandparents, parents and their children. The parents may be found working and financially supporting the children and their parents, whereas, the grandparents may spend their time taking care of the young ones. This is also found in other countries that prefer adhering to their old societal norms and values.

The people in China are relatively friendly and polite. They have a very welcoming attitude towards foreign visitors and they display their culture very openly through their everyday lifestyle. Regardless of the railroads, metro stations and new architecture, the local people of china continue to integrate their lifestyle. Near a newly constructed building, it is likely to find the same old neighborly men playing chess. You may find people carrying out casual conversations in the public setting. The rural life of China is comparatively low-paced to the urban life of China which is fast-paced. Therefore, for foreign visitors who wish to live a similar life than they live in the west, they should reside in cities like Shanghai or Shenzhen.

Although there have been many issues in China and it has undergone many transformations in its history, there are still millions of people who are working here, who also have come from abroad. In China, you will find people who work and carry out their day to day chores very passionately. Their work ethic is based on their culture which is what brings out their positivity and keeps them focused. The government also encourages the citizens and foreign workers to work hard and it refuses to give any support for unproductivity and unemployment. This is a reason why people are motivated to work for themselves and save money for their retirement. The Chinese people are very humble as they do not consider any job to be shameful. They are very zealous to participate in any kind of work they are assigned if it helps them to earn money for themselves.

There is no national minimum wage in China. Each province or region sets their own minimum wage which complicates matters. Wages are also increased according to the cost of living. This has raised the standards of living for the people and helped them to discard their old ways of living. Moreover, there are only seven public holidays which gives people less time to spend off from the stress of work. This leaves little room for people to go on vacations which causes unhappiness. People spend more time at their workplace and are not able to live their life the way they have dreamed.
Regardless of the stress and challenges, the work life in China is productive and helps in accomplishing the career goals. The environment fills you with enthusiasm for work and the friendly environment, despite the hard work, makes working in China worthwhile.
